What I Offer

At CAMINA Mental Health, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care for adults — always with compassion, cultural humility, and a focus on meeting you where you are. I believe medications can be a helpful tool, but never the only one. My approach looks at the whole person, not just symptoms.

Services are currently
provided via telehealth and may include:

Psychiatric Evaluation & Diagnosis

We’ll start with a comprehensive conversation about your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals. This helps guide care that’s aligned with your needs and values.

Medication Management

I prescribe and manage psychiatric medications with care and intention — but only when they’re appropriate, and always in collaboration with you. I believe meds are one part of the picture, and they work best when paired with therapy, support, and lifestyle awareness.
Lab work may sometimes be recommended to support safe prescribing, depending on your needs. It’s not always required but is often an important part of informed care.

Brief, Supportive Therapy

While I don’t offer long-term psychotherapy, I do provide supportive, skills-based, and insight-oriented therapy as part of your care. This may include stress management tools, emotional regulation, communication strategies, or space to process life events in a grounded and safe way.

Who I Work With

At CAMINA Mental Health, I support adults navigating a wide range of emotional, psychological, and life challenges. You don’t need a diagnosis to seek care — if something’s been feeling off, heavy, or hard to carry alone, I’m here to help.

My approach is rooted in cultural humility, clinical experience, and a deep respect for your lived reality. I work with people from all walks of life, and I especially welcome those who’ve felt overlooked or misunderstood in other settings.

Here are some of the people I often work with:

Adults Managing Anxiety, Mood, or Attention Challenges

Whether it’s anxiety that won’t turn off, sadness that won’t lift, or focus that constantly slips away — I help you explore what’s going on, and support you in finding clarity, tools, and relief.

Professionals & Caregivers Feeling Burned Out

If you’re constantly pouring from an empty cup — especially in healthcare, education, or caregiving roles — I offer a space where you don’t have to hold it all together. I’ve been there, and I get it.

LGBTQ+ Individuals Seeking Affirming Care

You deserve mental health care that sees and honors all of who you are. I provide a welcoming, affirming space for LGBTQ+ adults to explore identity, stress, and well-being without fear of judgment.

Immigrants, First-Gen, & Multicultural Adults

As someone who comes from an immigrant background, I understand the complexities of navigating life between cultures. I support clients facing identity shifts, generational tension, language gaps, and the silent weight of doing it all.

Adults Exploring or Already in Recovery

If you’re reevaluating your relationship with substances — whether you’re sober, cutting back, or unsure — I offer psychiatric support rooted in compassion, harm reduction, and real-world experience in addiction and detox settings.

Adults Healing After Crisis or Trauma

You might be rebuilding after a hospitalization, a loss of control, or something that felt like too much, too fast. My background in intensive psychiatric care and crisis response helps me support you through recovery with steadiness and care.

Adults Facing Life Transitions or Identity Shifts

From parenthood to career changes, breakups to grief, cultural transitions to aging — I help people process where they’ve been and where they’re going, especially when life doesn’t follow the script.

Adults Who Value Direct, Supportive Care

If you want a provider who listens without judgment, explains things clearly, and works with you (not just on you), you’ll feel at home here. I believe in collaboration, transparency, and care that fits your life.

Common Concerns I Work With

You don’t need to have everything figured out to ask for help. Many people come to me feeling confused about what they’re experiencing — and that’s okay. Below are some of the most common concerns I help with. If you recognize yourself in any of these, you’re not alone.

This list is here to support your understanding, not to offer a diagnosis. If something resonates with you, we can talk more during your visit.

Depression

Are you feeling sad, unmotivated, tired, or disconnected from things you used to care about? Depression can show up as a heaviness you can’t shake — and it’s not just in your head.

Anxiety

Do you feel tense, worried, restless, or like your mind won’t stop racing? Anxiety can affect sleep, concentration, and your ability to feel calm. It can be constant, or show up in waves.

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)

Do you struggle to stay focused, organized, or finish what you start? ADHD can look different in adults than in kids — it often feels like mental clutter, forgetfulness, or being easily overwhelmed.

Bipolar Spectrum Conditions

Have you experienced periods of intense energy or restlessness, followed by lows that feel impossible to climb out of? Bipolar spectrum conditions involve shifts in mood and energy that can disrupt daily life, and they are more common than many people realize.

Insomnia or Sleep Disturbance

Is it hard to fall asleep, stay asleep, or feel rested even after sleep? Poor sleep affects mental and physical health — and is often connected to stress, trauma, or underlying conditions.

Substance Use & Recovery Support

Are you questioning your relationship with alcohol, drugs, or prescription meds? Whether you’re thinking about cutting back or are already in recovery, I offer nonjudgmental support rooted in harm reduction and compassion.

Grief & Loss

Have you lost someone or something that mattered deeply? Grief doesn’t follow a schedule. It can come with sadness, numbness, anger, guilt — or all of the above. There’s no “right” way to grieve.

Life Transitions & Identity Questions

Are you going through a big change — like a breakup, move, career shift, or cultural adjustment? Or maybe you’re questioning who you are, what you want, or where you’re headed. That’s human, and therapy can help you navigate the unknown.

Trauma & Post-Traumatic Stress

Have you been through something overwhelming — recently or long ago — that still affects you? Trauma can show up as fear, avoidance, irritability, or a sense of disconnection from yourself and others.

Stress & Burnout

Are you stretched thin, emotionally exhausted, or running on fumes? Whether it’s from caregiving, work, or chronic overwhelm, burnout is real — and healing from it starts with being heard and supported.
